Phototherapy

Phototherapy is a treatment for a variety of skin problems including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema, vitiligo, and liver or kidney-related itching. Phototherapy works to shut down the overactive immune cells in the skin that cause such conditions. With phototherapy, our experts at Palm Beach Dermatology Group are able to control your exposure to light rays and modify treatments so that you receive the maximum benefit and minimum risk. A medication may be used with phototherapy to make the treatment more effective. Like all of our treatments, phototherapy services are performed on our premises, with our own equipment, and supervised by licensed doctors. Initially, you will be treated two or three times a week until your condition clears up. Then, your Palm Beach Dermatology Group doctor will reevaluate your treatment schedule and make any appropriate changes.
